The Torres Tapas Garden

Designed by Anthea Guthrie to celebrate the wines of Torres and the gastronomy of Catalonia, The Torres Tapas Garden features a representation of a vineyard, and a tapas-inspired vegetable patch.
The vegetable garden includes Mediterranean vegetables used in authentic tapas dishes that complement the wines of Torres: Viña Esmeralda, De Casta Rosado and Sangre de Toro.
The garden incorporates grand gestures within a small space. Visitors can enjoy the T-shaped vines, beautiful woodens culptures, dramatic ancient olive trees and the Gaudi-inspired mosaic stonework and shell pathways.
The planting has been pared down to highlight the landscaping and sculptural nature of this design. Anthea has selected vines and four ancient olive trees from Torres’ own vineyards for this garden. The vines form a 'hanging hedge', and the trees mark each corner, adding height and shade. Two sides of a whole oak tree form the entrance. The Gaudi-influenced sea shell sculpture in the centre is surrounded by roses that reflect the colours found in white, red and rosé wines.
