Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Charity Gala Preview Tickets
Terms & Booking Conditions 2007
1. Unauthorised Ticket Sales
(i) Tickets for the Charity Gala Previews are valid only if obtained from RHS Special Events Ltd.
(ii) Tickets are allocated on the condition that applicants, and their guests, shall not re-sell or attempt to re-sell any ticket(s).
(iii) Any person selling tickets for an amount of money above the value printed on the application form is doing so without authority.
(iv) Tickets should not be used as a prize or in any commercial promotion, hospitality or travel package or otherwise for commercial gain without the written consent of RHS Special Events Ltd.
2. Conditions for the Issue of Tickets
(i) Tickets shall not be issued to the applicant until payment in full has been received and guest names have been supplied. Tickets will then be dispatched (although no earlier than one month prior to the event).
(ii) Tickets will be sent by first class post. RHS Special Events Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any tickets once they have left their offices.
(iii) If applicants wish to make alternative arrangements for collecting their tickets, this must be arranged in advance with RHS Special Events Ltd.
3. Cancellation Prior to the Event
Cancellations must be confirmed in writing before 1 June 2007 (3 April 2007 for Chalet tickets). On receipt of such a notice, an administration charge will be levied of £10 per Garden Party and Private Picnic Enclosure ticket and £20 per Dinner and Chalet ticket and/or advertisement.
4. Revisions
While every effort is made to present packages exactly as described, RHS Special Events Ltd reserve the right to alter as necessary the details set out in the application form while maintaining the value of packages offered.
Cancellation or Curtailment - Refund Policy
5. Event Cancellation
If the Gala does not open, the original purchaser of the tickets will be refunded the amount that they paid RHS Special Events Ltd for the tickets.

(i) If the Gala closes within one hour of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded the full amount that they paid RHS Special Events Ltd.
(ii) If the Gala closes after one hour but within two hours of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded half the amount that they paid for the tickets.
(iii) If the Gala closes after two hours of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, no refund will be made.
7. Purchasers of Hampton Court Palace Flower Show Charity Gala Preview Dinner or Chalet Tickets
(i) If the Gala closes within one hour of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded the full amount that they paid RHS Special Events Ltd.
(ii) If the Gala closes after one hour but within two hours of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded half the amount that they paid for the tickets.
(iii) If the Gala closes after two hours but within three hours of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, the original purchaser of those tickets will be refunded one quarter of the amount that they paid for the tickets.
(iv) If the Gala closes after three hours of the time the Gala opened to ticket holders, no refund will be made.
8. Other
(i) If the Gala opens later than the original stated entry time, the terms & conditions above shall apply based on the actual time the Gala opened to guests.
(ii) Only the original purchasers of the tickets are eligible for refunds under this policy.
(iii) Refunds will be paid out automatically, using the original payment method (i.e. direct to credit card, by cheque or by BACs).
(iv) Ticket holders will not be eligible for refunds in any of the following circumstances:
- If tickets were purchased through unauthorised ticket agencies or other sources.
- If ticket holders did not attend the Gala that opened as planned.
- If ticket holders were unable to attend the Gala for any reason not attributable to failure on the part of RHS Special Events Ltd, including but not limited to personal circumstances, illness, strike and travel difficulties.
- If only part of the Gala was forced to close.
(v) Refunds will only be given on tickets, according to the terms & conditions set out in this document. RHS Special Events Ltd shall not be liable for consequential losses, including but not limited to travel expenses, accommodation costs and catalogues.
General Regulations
9. Admittance
(i) There is strictly no admission without a valid ticket.
(ii) Anyone at the event whose behaviour is abusive or whose presence is a source of danger or annoyance to others will be asked to leave the grounds, and no refund will be made.
10. Animals
Under no circumstances are animals (save for registered guide or assistance dogs) permitted to enter the event.
11. Children
Under-18s are not admitted to the Charity Gala Preview.
12. Complaints
Any complaints must be received in writing by RHS Special Events Ltd within four weeks of the date of the event.
13. Disabled Visitors
Attendants will be provided on request. Companions will not be admitted free of charge, but must be in possession of a valid ticket.
14. Dress
The dress code for the evening is Black Tie for Dinner and Chalet guests and smart casual for all other guests. Allowance should be made for inclement weather. Sensible shoes are recommended.
15. Ground Conditions
Please note that this is a temporary, outdoor event on open parkland and is subject to varying weather and ground conditions. Although some temporary trackway is laid, much of the event is on open ground and care must be taken. We therefore advise that you check the weather forecast for the evening, consider the nature of the event and the effects of any inclement weather on surface conditions, and wear suitable clothing and footwear. In extreme weather conditions, access may be restricted in the interest of safety.
16. Lost Property
RHS Special Events Ltd shall have no responsibility for any property or personal effects left at the event.
17. Security
(i) Entry to the venue is subject to the right of RHS Special Events Ltd to search the ticket holder and their belongings. Entry with prohibited items is restricted. ‘Prohibited Items’ include weapons, political or offensive materials, dangerous items, ladders, steps, musical instruments, bicycles, skates, gazebos and such other items as RHS Special Events Ltd may deem to be prohibited from time to time.
(ii) The use of cameras, video or other recording or transmission equipment for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden and any such photographs or recordings may not be used without the written consent of RHS Special Events Ltd. An official RHS photographer will be present at the event. Photos taken during the evening may be used on future promotional material. If you do not wish your photo to be used please confirm this is writing.
(iii) Ticket holders must comply with the directions of stewards and officials.
