Referencing the work of artists Fischli and Weiss, Magritte and Duchamp, the installation challenges the onlooker as to the definition of a garden.
The garden creates a sense of theatre, with half the garden finished with exquisite planting, while the other half is a work in progress.
The builder’s radio is still playing, the pond is still being filled, and the cement mixer is ready for the next load. Can it be classified as a ‘garden’ if unfinished or can we still find aesthetic merit in the suspended nature of the installation?
