"Somnium Argentum"

Caragh Walsh Somnium Argentum

This garden is intended to represent a dream-like scenario; on completion this installation could be appropriately sited within the grounds of a hotel, spa, holistic centre or a spiritual retreat. The garden represents a person’s journey through their life and the various paths open to them.

The trees represent encounters and obstacles, which are inevitable – the clearing at the centre symbolises the clarity of mind one experiences having made a decision and the suspended perspex ladders represent the routes taken in life. The theme of this garden was derived as a result of a college project relating to emotional response.
