Inspired by the Ionic Temple at Rievaulx Terrace in North Yorkshire, this is an ornamental garden for a professional couple with school-age children. The layout has classical overtones, blended with modern, perennial planting together with a small productive area.
The garden is for relaxing, entertaining and family time. A green roof garden has drought-tolerant plants that need minimum attention and rainwater from the roof is collected for plant irrigation elsewhere in the garden.
