Kick-starting the flower show year with winter colour and early spring-flowered plants, the RHS London Plant & Design Show is the place to learn how you can convert the smallest outdoor space into an area of beauty, in time for spring. Plants and design-based products are all available to buy and the RHS Advisory will be there to answer all garden-related questions.

Making the most of small outdoor spaces is a major theme of the show, and two of the 2011 RHS Young Designer of the Year finalists, Alexandra Froggatt and Owen Morgan, will stage show gardens demonstrating how you can transform a neglected, unloved alleyway into a beautiful green oasis. The Society of Garden Designers will also be running a design clinic in RHS Lindley Hall.

Orchid & Botanical Art Show - 16 &17 March 2012

Preview Thursday 15 March 6.30-8.30pm; Friday 16 March 10-5pm; Sat 17 March 10–5pm (plant sell off 4.30pm)

Browse a spectacular array of exotic orchids by specialist growers from across the globe, see beautifully-presented camellias involved in the competition and enjoy previously-unseen work by top botanical artists.

Exhibitors include The Orchid Society of Great Britain, Eric Young Orchid Foundation and the Writhlington School Orchid Project, all of whom are dedicated to the conservation of this mysterious plant.

In the RHS Lindley Hall, a selection of the world’s best botanical artists will display a collection of their work. Exclusively for 2012, the Hampton Court Palace Florilegium Society will be exhibiting part of its botanical art collection. This will be the first time the collection has left the grounds of the Palace.
