Postcards from the Park |
Organised by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Big Lottery Fund and GreenSpace it is part of a much broader Parks for People initiative to regenerate UK parks. Prizes will be awarded in regional finals with the overall winner receiving £1,000 of Jessops vouchers. The best entries will feature in a national exhibition in September and turned into postcards for distribution in Lottery-funded venues nationwide. Chief judge, Mike McCartney, said “Last year’s competition really proved how popular parks are and I was so impressed by the standard of entries. ‘Postcards from the Park’ is once again a fantastic opportunity to introduce the nation to the great love photography can bring.” Entries can be submitted until 1 August 2008. For more information, visit www.postcardsfromthepark.org.uk. Photos taken on mobile can be submitted via MMS by texting PARKS followed by the photographers name and where the photo has been taken in the subject header to 0780 3851 600.
