Lamium - the cultivated deadnettles

Search the RHS website

The ornamental deadnettles are grown primarily for their attractively marbled or variegated foliage, as well as the flowers freely produced in spring.

RHS trials

A trial of Lamium maculatum cultivars was completed in 1998. Although no awards were made, almost 40 entries were received and the trial aroused considerable interest. An identification key to the cultivars is available from the Trials Office.
