Children with Cancer UK

The organisation behind the Raines Repurposed garden at RHS Chelsea 2024, explain their mission and aims

Children with Cancer UK

Children With Cancer UK is incredibly proud to be sponsoring Thomas Clarke at RHS Chelsea. Our collaboration on his Balcony garden design aims to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Inspired by the retreat we are building for families affected by childhood cancer, the Balcony garden is designed to offer a moment of reflection, and allow brief respite for those facing the unimaginable.

See the Raines Repurposed Garden

When first hearing a childhood cancer diagnosis, families are plunged into a world of hospitals far away from home, invasive treatments and ultimately, the unknown. By providing a safe space, these families will be immersed in nature on the Balcony and provided with a moment to simply, breathe. Ensuring the consistency of support for families is essential, which is why the Balcony has been created from over 80% recycled materials from the retreat project. The Balcony is a sustainable and peaceful place that is suspended in time.
