Best tradestand: Hartley Botanic
The tradestand judges assessed more than 270 exhibits at Chelsea 2014 to name one the Best Tradestand. They look for excellence in design & presentation combined with outstanding planting. Hartley Botanic was the winner judged 'excellent in all areas, a beautiful addition to the show and immaculately presented.'
The Director General’s Award for her favourite tradestand: Khora
RHS DG Sue Biggs said: ‘Stunning curved glass ceiling conservatory, which is light and elegant with beautiful details such as the copper weathervane. Beautifully planted outside space designed by Landform Consultants. The design and execution of the Khora exhibit is so good that many have mistaken it for a show garden.’.
The Chelsea Flower Show has been held in the grounds of the Chelsea Hospital, London every year since 1913, apart from gaps during the two World Wars. It used to be Britain's largest flower show (it has now been overtaken by RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show), but is still the most prestigious.
