The Nectar Garden is designed to attract butterflies, moths and other insects into the garden to feed. It is based on the book about butterfly gardening by the late Dame Miriam Rothschild, and is a tribute to her as a former Vice President of Butterfly Conservation.
The garden comprises a wildflower meadow, with a gravel path running through it, and beds of mixed planting of nectar-rich and caterpillar food plants. There is a small decked area with a table and chairs to sit and watch the butterflies, while enjoying a glass of wine.
This is a joint collaboration between Butterfly Conservation - Cheshire & Peak District Branch and the David Lewis National Epilepsy Centre at Mobberley.
