Eat my Garden is a feast of sensory delights. All the plants featured, including herbs, salad leaves, fruits, grains and spices, are edible or have culinary uses. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a freshly-picked salad and a glass of wine.
Cut-and-come-again salad crops, lettuce and herbs form a lush carpet, interwoven with strawberries. Self-seeding fennel and borage drift through the garden to mingle with scented lavender, sage and thyme. The tassel heads of sweetcorn stand tall above the squashes that tumble over the pergola. Have you spotted the oats? The plants provide just enough for a bowlof porridge, fresh from the garden!
Sunflowers and poppies display beautiful flowers and have edible seeds. Nasturtiums add colour to the garden and flavour to salads. Marigolds can be eaten, and also attract beneficial insects to this organic garden.
This design demonstrates how you can savour that freshly-picked taste from your own back garden.
