This is a children’s garden that promotes an understanding of plants and the role they play in our environment and everyday lives, while still allowing for creative play and adventure in a relaxing and exotic setting. School students have been involved in many aspects of the project - at the centre of the design is a copper tree, its leaves inscribed with students’ names to act as a reminder of their time at St Brigid’s School.

Fforwm Tirlun back-to-back gardenThe garden has a den in which to hide, and a raised lookout platform high up for viewing the whole garden. The garden includes a water curtain, a re-circulating rill in which boats can be sailed, castellated walls and steps to climb, and an integrated dolls house that could itself be landscaped by a child.

A mixture of planting is included to show children the different plants that can be used, and the ways in which plants differ in colour, shape and texture.
