Prize Pudding Pitching
A floral tribute to the World Championship Black Pudding Throwing Competition that take place annually in Ramsbottom, where black puddings are launched in tights at a Yorkshire pudding. The competition celebrates the legend that during the War of the Roses, both sides ran out of ammunition and began throwing food at each other.
Red and white flowers depict the two sides, with pink used to show the Pennines where the two counties merge.
