Tranquil Mountain Waters is inspired by the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, which is between 1,500 and 3,500 feet above sea level. The garden is a condensed cross-section of many elements of Snowdonia, using natural stone and native plants to give a real feeling of being in the mountain hillsides.
The garden has a large water feature, with pathways leading over a bridge and stream, and around and underneath a waterfall and pool. This area offers respite; you can sit on the bridge walls or surrounding rocks, and perhaps reflect on the idea of walking around Snowdonia. The stone used is Penmaemawr granite from a local source in North Wales. Penrhyn slate is also used, which is widely found in the National Park. No concrete or reconstituted products are included in the garden, and the plants chosen are native to Snowdonia.
