Take a moment or two out of your busy visit to the show to visit this traditionally landscaped garden. Tarleton Specimen Plants specialises in spectacular waterfalls, fabulous rockeries, and above all beautiful specimen plants. This is the fourth consecutive year of this collaboration between Tarleton Specimen Plants and sponsor South Lakeland Leisure Village.

The garden is designed to reflect the beauty of a wooden lodge, possibly a weekend retreat or retirement residence, which sits on the water’s edge, surrounded by an outstanding landscaped garden. Escape to the Lodge has a wide appeal, with its easily maintained, well-designed English planting style, and would suit most environments.

The main feature is a stream that trickles gently under the wooden bridge, and falls into a larger, natural-looking pool made from Scotch pebbles. The pool is surrounded by specimen plants and shrubs. The lawn area is split by a stone path that winds over the meandering stream and under a large pergola displaying specimen climbers.
