Contrasting textures and a simple colour palette, both in the hard landscaping and planting, tie the elements of this design together. This urban garden is a restful space and the perfect backdrop for the changing gallery of contemporary outdoor art hung on the walls.
The plants have been chosen for their foliage structure and colour, with evergreen topiary providing year-round interest. The specimen Acer griseum adds height and balance to the design, whilst its textured bark complements the deep rusts and oranges of the water feature and the occasional spots of copper and brown in the planting scheme. The cascading water draws you into the garden and offers a distraction from the noise of the city.
Once inside, you notice the contrast between the warm hardwood seat and the cool limestone floor. Your mind is now free to explore your own private gallery.
