This is a herb garden, and all the plants have been selected for their medicinal properties, with many also suitable for culinary purposes. Interest has been created in the borders through the use of differing heights, colours and textures in the planting scheme. The plants have also been chosen for their aromatic fragrance, including the chamomile lawn.
The water feature is tiled with handmade tiles made specially for the garden. The designs on the tiles are parts of different herbs and worts, including seed heads and flowers. Two bay trees have been included to frame and soften the water feature’s edges.
At the opposite end of the garden there is a stoned area, with a bench that echoes the design of the water feature. This is the perfect spot to sit and appreciate the garden’s sensory delights.
