Jules and Susan have designed a garden for the contemporary medicinal herbalist, featuring plant material to be used for a dispensary.
Inspired by the monastic gardens of the medieval period, the herbs are not only practical but provide an all round sensory experience to uplift mind and spirit with their form, texture and fragrance. The arbour is a place to sit and enjoy the garden, as well as to prepare the herbs.
Complementing the planting are structures of copper, willow and hazel, and the herbs are arranged as to their healing of a particular part of the body or ailment.
