Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery, which grows cottage garden, drought-tolerant, peat-free perennial plants showed Agapanthus 'Blue Crane' for the first time. A. 'Blue Crane' has been named after the crane, a South African bird, which Blacksmiths thought was appropriate for a South African plant.
