This garden is designed to promote the Suttons Seeds concept of Family Health through a grow your own fruit and vegetable theme. With a strong emphasis on being a garden for a family with young children, the design focuses on healthy eating, exercise and the concept that gardening can be fun for all the family.
Designed by Classic Landscapes and Suttons, environmental concerns are addressed through the use of raised beds made from old pallet boxes, various devices to encourage wildlife into the garden and, of course, the very concept of grow your own with the subsequent reduction in food miles.
The concept of ‘from plot to the plate’, maximising vitamin and mineral contents is illustrated by a leisure area featuring a barbeque and various pots with vegetables and herbs, which can be cut there and then and cooked straight away.
Vegetables and fruit also feature in containers to demonstrate that healthy produce can be grown in the smallest of areas.
