Beauty, romance and tradition take precedence in this garden, which is created by a man for his wife in years gone by.
Structures include a folly, an arbour and a pool, all timeless features that encourage relaxation. It is assumed that it’s some years since the garden’s creation and the old man returns following illness to update it and enjoy time with his teenage granddaughter.
Herbaceous perennials create a cottage garden feel structured by a small number of evergreens. Romance and love grow in the garden in the form of roses, sweet peas, dahlias and poppies.
