This garden celebrates the superb landscape of the Lake District inspired by Rydal Mount, the home of William Wordsworth. The garden provides a quiet sanctuary for contemplation and the design encapsulates the essence of Wordsworth’s poetry and philosophy focusing on nature.
Traditional techniques such as dry-stone walling are used and the main focal point of the garden is a Victorian stone summer house, made using local Lakeland slate. Naturalistic planting is made up of mainly woodland and shade-loving plants that suit the conditions of the garden.
