Global warming is the central theme of this garden with a statement about the changing situation of climatic conditions and the increased probability of extreme weather events. The umbrella is symbolic of protection from this for plants and gardens as well as ourselves.
Warm coloured plants have been chosen reflecting the warming of the planet. One side of the garden flourishes in the present climate and the other uses plants that prefer sub-tropic conditions of the future.
