Other common names
redbud 'Ruby Falls'
Cercis are deciduous shrubs or small trees with heart-shaped leaves and clusters of bright pink pea-flowers opening before or with the leaves, followed by flattened, deep purple pods
'Ruby Falls' is a compact, weeping cultivar to 2m tall and wide. The heart-shaped leaves, to 10cm long, emerge a dark maroon-red maturing to a dark purple colour in summer. The deep lavender-pink flowers appear before the foliage in spring
