Other common names
Wisteria are vigorous woody climbers with twining stems bearing pinnate leaves and long pendulous racemes of fragrant pea-like flowers in spring and early summer
Wisteria x formosa is a vigorous, deciduous, twining cultivar. Highly scented, pea-like, pale to mid-purple flowers are produced on short trusses about 20cm long, in early summer
