Slow-growing, deciduous, weeping tree to about 6-8m tall with a dense, spreading crown, often grown as a top-grafted tree. Its ovate, serrated, prominently veined mid-green leaves turn yellow and orange in the autumn. Produces green male and yellow female catkins in late spring and clusters of winged fruit later in the year
