D. oleoides is a dwarf evergreen shrub of variable habit, usually under 60cm tall, forming low hummocks. Leaves are almost stalkless, squareish and bristle-tipped, glossy above and downy below when young. Flowers are white, cream or yellowish, sometimes pink tipped, borne in terminal clusters in late spring and early summer, scented. Fruits are orange-red
'Daphnis' is a medium-sized, deciduous shrub, to 3m high, with bristly stems and pale-pink and white flowers. The scented, tubular flowers, 1.5cm wide and 2.5cm long, are tinged with pink at their base fading to white at their tips and appear in winter to early spring on bare stems before the leaves. Red berries are sometimes produced in summer
D. arbuscula is a rounded dwarf evergreen shrub to 15cm tall, with narrowly oblong, dark glossy green leaves to 18mm long. Flowers deep pink, very fragrant, in dense clusters at the ends of the shoots in late spring and early summer

Pink Fragrance is a compact, rounded shrub, to 90cm tall, with small, semi-evergreen, lance-shaped leaves. Scented pink flowers, flushed white, open from deep pink buds and are borne over a long season from spring until autumn
Rebecca is a compact, bushy, evergreen shrub growing to 1.5m tall. Its dark green leaves have a broad yellow margin and fragrant, lavender-pink flowers emerge from purple-red buds in winter and early spring
