It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Lucy' is a cultivar that reaches 90cm in height. It flowers early, in late summer to early autumn, bearing sprays of anemone-style flowers with yellow centres and pale pink florets
'Gerda' is a deciduous shrub or small tree, with deep purple foliage from spring to autumn and flat heads of small, pinkish-purple flowers, followed by purple-black berries
'Ashby' is a bushy plant growing to 90cm tall and wide at maturity. The lobed, scented leaves are mid- to dark-green and flowers are a pink-purple colour with dark central markings on the upper petals
'Claire Maxine' is most notable for its gleaming, puckered foliage, mid-green, reddening in winter. Flowers are deep pink but sometimes hidden beneath the leaves; flowers mostly in spring with sporadic flowers produced through to October
N. mutabilis is an upright annual to 1.5m tall with a basal rosette of large, oval leaves. In summer, airy clouds of trumpet-shaped flowers are borne on branching stems changing colour as they age from white through shades of pink
'Southern Charm' is a clump-forming, upright, sometimes short-lived perennial to 1.2m high, its greyish-green, hairy leaves forming a basal rosette. Long spikes of flowers in pastel shades ranging from cream, pale pink, apricot and lavender with purple stamens are borne in summer
'Rotschwanz' is a rounded deciduous shrub with glossy dark green leaves that colour wine-red in autumn. Flattened lacecap flowerheads with large deep red, cross-shaped sterile flowers and fertile flowers of pink and white are produced in mid and late summer
R. campylogynum is a dwarf evergreen shrub with small, glossy leaves, glaucous beneath, and open bell-shaped, pale or deep rosy-purple or pink flowers 2.5cm across in late spring
'Arnhem' is a tall, herbaceous perennial that can reach 2m. The leaves have oval leaflets with jagged edges and the wiry, branched flower stalks carry deep rose pink, drumstick flowers in summer
MiniFamous Double PinkMania! is an evergreen perennial usually grown as an annual. It has trailing stems and small, simple leaves. Pink, semi-double flowers are produced over a long period in summer and autumn
