'Ashby' is a bushy plant growing to 90cm tall and wide at maturity. The lobed, scented leaves are mid- to dark-green and flowers are a pink-purple colour with dark central markings on the upper petals
'Karneol' is an upright perennial to 1.2m tall, flowering in late summer and autumn, the flowerheads with spreading deep red ray florets surrounding a brown centre
'Millennium' grows to 1.8m, with long stems bearing strongly fragrant flowers 6cm across, the standards deep reddish-purple, the wing petals vivid purplish-red
'Rotschwanz' is a rounded deciduous shrub with glossy dark green leaves that colour wine-red in autumn. Flattened lacecap flowerheads with large deep red, cross-shaped sterile flowers and fertile flowers of pink and white are produced in mid and late summer
D. macropodum is a large, evergreen shrub to about 6m high and wide with dark green, glossy, rhododendron-like leaves that tend to droop in winter, revealing the bright red leaf stalks. Young spring foliage is pale green, often flushed pink. Red male and green female petal-less flowers are borne on separate plants in late spring. Pollinated female plants produce heavily-bloomed black berries in autumn
'Genii' is an erect medium-sized deciduous shrub with yellow-green foliage. Flowers single, small, with narrow, up-curved cerise sepals, slender cerise tube and reddish-purple petals
T. tricolor is a summer-dormant, tuberous, perennial climber to about 1.5m with small, light green, five- or seven-lobed leaves. The small, yellow flowers are surrounded by a showy purple-tipped, orange-red calyx with a long red or purple spur, in all about 3cm long. Flowering takes place from winter to early summer
'Dainty Marietta' is a dwarf French marigold growing to 35cm in height, with pinnate green foliage and single, bright yellow flowers, each ray with a deep red blotch at the base, from late spring to autumn
E. californica is a vigorous bushy, spreading annual to 30cm, with finely divided blue-green leaves and orange, yellow or red flowers to 7cm across in summer
