M. flaccida is a cormous perennial, to 60cm tall, producing a single, arching leaf that may reach as much as 1m long. Six-petalled, salmon or yellow flowers are produced on branched stems in spring and summer
'Lemon Fizz' is a trailing, tuberous perennial, to 30cm high, with fully double, fragrant blooms of orange-yellow edged with pink. The leaves are dark green above, pale green below, with purple flushing. Flowers mid-summer into autumn
'Clearview Louise' grows to around 1.5m tall. It blooms in summer and early autumn, with large flowerheads to 20cm across bearing petals blended in pale yellow and pink or bronze
I. lobata is a twining climber up to 5m tall, usually grown as an annual, with three-lobed leaves. The crimson-flushed stems bear one-sided racemes of small, tubular, dark red flowers which fade to orange and then a creamy yellow in summer
'Harvest Moon' is a herbaceous perennial with branched stems bearing large, fragrant flowerheads to 10cm wide, with reflexed, deep golden-yellow petals and an orange-brown central cone, from mid-summer to early autumn
O. microdasys is a bushy, perennial cactus with flattened, segmented, oval to round, light to mid-green stems; densely spotted with white areoles, each bearing minute white, yellow or reddish-brown bristle-like spines. Yellow, bowl-shaped flowers to 4-5cm across are borne in summer
'Pleniflora' is a vigorous suckering medium-sized deciduous shrub, with prominently veined, light green leaves and solitary bright yellow, double flowers from mid-spring
'Sunspot' is a small, cormous perennial with linear leaves and bright orange-yellow flowers with contrasting black style branches in the centre
M. elongata is a cactus with clustered cylindrical stems to 15cm in height, the spines creamy-yellow to brown; flowers 1.5cm in length, pale yellow or tinged pink
'Yellow Cheerfulness' is a vigorous bulbous perennial to 45cm tall, with erect foliage and clusters of up to 4 fragrant, double golden-yellow flowers 2-3cm across
