'White Pearl' is a bulbous perennial, to 30cm tall, with 3-4 strappy leaves. Tightly-packed, rigid spikes of fragrant, pure white flowers are borne in spring
'Masaniello' is an aquatic perennial with rounded mid-green leaves and large, fragrant, cupped pink flowers flecked with red, and with orange-yellow stamens
N. sinensis is a spreading deciduous tree or large shrub to 10m, with narrowly-ovate leaves to 15cm in length, bronze when young and turning to yellow and red in autumn. Flowers inconspicuous; fruits small, black, seldom seen
'Kew Red' is a bushy sub-shrub with aromatic, ovate leaves and two-lipped crimson flowers 2.5cm in length, in racemes to 10cm in length, in late summer and autumn
'Anders Kath Phillips' is an evergreen perennial with grey-green leaves and pale, creamy-yellow flowers with each petals finely edged with deep purple
'Purple Emperor' is a compact, clump-forming deciduous perennial to 50cm tall, with broad, deep purple leaves on dark red stems, and rounded clusters of small, pale purplish-pink flowers in late summer
'Sweet Heidy' is a spreading perennial, to 60cm tall, with neat, dense, lobed foliage and bowl-shaped flowers from early summer to early autumn. Flowers are pink, shading to purple with dark veining and a white centre
S. exigua is a suckering shrub forming a thicket of slender stems bearing narrowly lance-shaped to linear leaves to 10cm long, silvery when young, later grey-green
'Copthorne' is a bushy plant to 50cm in height, with boldly lobed, spicily-scented leaves and light mauve flowers with the upper petals marked with purple
'Spinfield Happiness' is a vigorous perennial with unscented, double, pale orange-yellow flowers 6cm across, the petals becoming streaked with deep rose towards the margins
