A unique opportunity for practical horticultural professionals to keep up to date on pests, diseases and weeds, with the team at RHS Garden Wisley and outside experts of national status. Valuable BASIS and CNoSO CPD points (BASIS 5 Points and CNoSO CPD 4 Points) are available for this course.
Professionals within the amenity sector; head gardeners, arborists, garden designers, consultants, park and garden managers as well as contractors involved in garden maintenance for example, are likely to find this update invaluable.
This full day covers new and troublesome pests and diseases, with tips on identifying and controlling pests, diseases and weeds in ways that are consistent with the Sustainable Use Directive. Opportunity is offered to see developments and practices at Wisley involving phytosanitary practices and integrated pest management and non-chemical controls, and speak to the staff who undertake this work in Wisley gardens.
Our speakers include RHS specialists and representatives from Chemicals Regulation Directorate, FARGRO, Sports Amenity Forum and East Malling Research. For more information please see the event page.
