The Garden

July 2014

This month Adam Pasco gives a RHS Masterclass on ‘Using your greenhouse year round’. We review this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, including plants, design themes & winning gardens. Christopher Whitehouse sheds light on ‘Why plant names change’, while columnist Helen Dillion discusses the plants she grows in her own garden and what she finds most beautiful. Finally, with the symbolic nationwide plantings of poppies to mark the outbreak of the First World War, we take a look at the many forgotten members of the poppy family (Papaveraceae).
