Getting to know a new collection is a daunting but thrilling experience

I’ve recently joined the RHS as an Assistant Librarian and have always had a passion for information provision and library services.

Getting to know a new collection is a daunting but thrilling experience, there’s something wonderful about knowing your collection inside out, and making a difference to a user’s research.

Before starting at the RHS I worked for law libraries, starting my library career as a graduate trainee at the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn before going to Library school and moving to BPP University.

In my new role I work mostly with the extensive periodical collection, but I still enjoy engaging with users and being part of the enquiries team here in London.
