About the garden

Owned by
Mr & Mrs Robert Vernon

Bluebell Arboretum & Nursery has been a stalwart supporter of RHS shows for some years now and has won many medals for its displays of rare trees and shrubs. The beautiful 9-acre woodland garden has a large collection of rare trees and shrubs with interest throughout the year, but despite the name, its not a bluebell wood. Spring flowers with many Magnolia & Prunus, cool leafy areas in summer and sensational autumn colour in October and November. Many educational posters are on display describing the more obscure plants. Please bring wellingtons or boots in wet weather. Adjacent specialist tree and shrub nursery with a huge selection of rare plants. The website allows on-line ordering: the nursery sells many more plants than those listed in its excellent catalogue.
