Ben

Librarian, RHS Garden Harlow Carr

Every day is different and you never know what sort of enquiries you might get. I was once asked who did my hair?!

I’ve been a librarian for a long time, and have worked in some very interesting places, such as the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Linnean Society of London. Over the years I’ve learned some amazing things while working in libraries.

I came to the small library team at Harlow Carr in the spring in 2012 and have found it a wonderful place to work, with beautiful views of the gardens from the library windows.  My gardening knowledge has grown very quickly since I’ve been working at the RHS, and one of these days I will put it all into practice and turn my garden at home into something more exciting.
