Susie Hauxwell

Horticulturist (Level I)

I always wanted to have a career working outside, love working through the seasons and being close to nature.

I am now in my fourth year, working at RHS Garden Rosemoor. I was a trainee for a year completing the RHS Certificate of Practical Horticulture based at Rosemoor and was offered a part-time position. Up until September I was employed in a cross-garden position, working in the nursery, Formal Garden and Lady Anne’s Garden. I am now based in Lady Anne’s, working as part of the garden team, carrying out tree work and focusing on the Mediterranean Garden.

Prior to my employment at Rosemoor, I worked as a self-employed gardener and completed the RHS level 2 and 3.  I always wanted to have a career working outside as I love working through the seasons and being close to nature.
