In This workshop you will be introduced into the world of Japanese ink and the beauty of painting Wild Orchids. The appeal of this technique is in the flow of the brush. The seemingly 'effortless' minimalistic stroke that suggest a bamboo in the wind. It is an art form of economy, using one brush and one colour to reflect upon nature's harmonies. We will study Wild Orchid, and learn to paint with the Asian brush. The workshops will include a short introduction, live demonstration by Talia, work-sheets, one on one time with the tutor and plenty of practice time for you to create your own Wild Orchid ink painting. Tools and materials will be supplied. Please bring an apron, and a notepad.
