Dogs in the garden
We want all our visitors to enjoy their time with us. For the safety of all our visitors only assisting dogs are allowed in the garden. There is a lovely walk through the Pinewoods, near the garden.

We strongly advise that you do not bring your pet on hot days as there is little to no shade in our car parks.

Harlow Kennels located next to the garden offer a day boarding service to garden visitors and will look after your dog for a small fee. Booking is essential, tel: 01423 504859.

Smoking policy
For the health and welfare of our visitors we operate a no-smoking policy in certain areas around the garden. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted in or near:

• Dining or food outlets
• Eating areas or terraces
• Picnic areas
• Covered spaces or buildings
• The children’s play area

This may extend to other areas of the garden in periods of very dry weather.

Group visits

The garden is a popular venue for groups. Look round at your own pace or  take one of our garden tours - led by volunteers who are members of Friends of Harlow Carr.
