    Traditional patchwork

This introduction to traditional patchwork uses paper templates and hand stitching to piece together hexagons. The paper template shape ensures the blocks are accurate and also makes it easier to piece angles together. You will then be shown how to make a needle case to display your new patchwork design.

This versatile technique is a brilliant way to use up scraps of fabric for both large and small projects. While being a time-consuming method, it is highly rewarding, creating beautiful and personal pieces of 'fabric' – beware it is addictive.
