Celebrate the best of autumn gardening at the Autumn Plant Festival with Plant Heritage. This two-day event which runs from 10am – 4pm will welcome a range of specialist nurseries to the garden with a wealth of seasonal advice and information for autumn and winter planting as well as a Tender Plant Show.

Once again we will be hosting the Autumn Plant Fair, in association with Plant Heritage. Celebrate the best of autumn gardening at the Autumn Plant Festival at RHS Harlow Carr. The weekend will also include the Tender Plant Show with information and advice for autumn and winter gardening. This two day event will welcome a range of specialist nurseries on site. This hugely popular event will provide great inspiration for your garden at home, and a wealth of advice and information will be on offer though out the day.

The Tender Plant Show: Talks and demonstrations (Sunley room)
Members of the RHS Tender Ornamental Plant Committee and RHS Fruit & Vegetable Committee will be at Harlow Carr over the weekend of 2nd 3rd September where they will be giving practical talks and demonstrations and holding gardening question and answer sessions.
 
The talks, demos and Q&A sessions will be taking place in the Learning centre from 11am until 3pm and everyone is welcome to come along and watch.
 
The experts on hand are:
 
Helen Bainbridge, former pelargonium exhibitor and winner of hundreds of Gold Awards for her displays at shows. Helen is an experienced RHS judge is also developing her large garden in North Yorkshire.
 
Martin Fish, writer and gardening expert on BBC Radio York and BBC Radio Nottingham.  Martin is also an RHS judge and one of the RHS Garden Advisors for Harlow Carr.
 
Geoff Oke, fuchsia specialist growing a wide selection of different types. He lectures on growing and propagating fuchsias and has written many features about them over the years. He is judges at RHS shows.
 
Lynne Dibley from Dibley’s nurseries who specialise in streptocarpus and houseplants. Their stunning displays have won them 26 Gold medals at the Chelsea flower show.
 
Award winning Don Billington who has a passion from Bromeliads, plants mainly found in the American tropics.
  
David Allison, Chairman of the National Vegetable Society and RHS judge. David specialises in growing a selection of fruit & veg for use in the kitchen and also for the show bench.
