The Association of Essex Photographers annual exhibition returns to RHS Garden Hyde Hall for its third year. The show has proved popular with visitors to the gardens due to the quality of the work on show and the eclectic range of subjects and techniques used to produce the images which are all available for purchase at reasonable prices. The Association was formed in 2012 to exhibit the work of a small group of like minded photographers, most of whom studied photography at Essex ACL and then sought to exhibit their work to a wider audience. The five photographers showcasing their work this year are all resident in Essex and will be in attendance at the exhibition on a rota basis - Glenys Anthony captures a wide choice of subjects but especially enjoys seascape photography. She is a Licentiate of the RPS and has attained CPAGB recognition. Two images selected for the PAGB Eastern counties exhibition will also be on display at Hyde Hall. Brian Clark's portfolio is made up from a selection of urban and rural landscapes and wildlife shots. Having taken up photography seriously in 2005 Brian has become an accomplished and published photographer in these subject areas. John Holiday, who now works professionally as a photographer, displays a range of photographs reflecting his interest in images with strong graphic or colour elements and demonstrating his passion for landscape and abstract photography. Tom Lewington, recently retired from teaching photography in further education, has a particular interest in the unusual landscape and flower photography. Digital effects, image blending and art filters are used in the production of his work. Paul Vine's Portfolio consists mainly of landscapes, seascapes and urban street photography. Paul's image of The Rower, The Rider & The River, won the PAGP EAF Exhibition Best Projected Image in 2014. The Exhibition has free entrance and normal garden admission applies.
