This summer at RHS Garden Hyde Hall come and join our Jurassic Discovery. Learn about the Jurassic plants we have in the garden which have been around for millions of years, visit our life-size dinosaur sculpture, dig to discover fossils and much more.

The following activities will be available throughout the whole summer:

Jurassic Journey interactive trail: 21 July–3 September
Dinosaur fossil digs: 21 July–3 September
 
The following are available on specific event days: 

  • Willow Dinosaur Sculpture: Installed on 21 July, visitors can help build using a piece of willow until 27 July
  • Drop in Crafts - All Star Kids: Wednesdays and Thursdays only, £2 drop in
  • Storytelling with Mike Dodsworth: Tuesdays only, free sessions out in the garden
  • Face painting: £4 per child and payment direct to Trudi. Thursday 9 and Friday 10 August, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 August, Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 August

Special event days:

  • Travelling Natural History Museum: Walkabout dinosaur shows, talks, fossils & replicas on the 10 and 17 August
  • Rock and Mineral Society: Explore the fossils and rocks in the grounds of Hyde Hall on the 13 and 14 August
