Needle-felting is a wonderful skill to learn and a perfect craft to do while sat at the kitchen table. It requires very few tools. We will start the day with a small practice piece to learn the essential skills, before beginning a sculptural bird on a wooden bobbin. We will learn to build shapes and add colour with muted un-dyed wools, and with dyed merino.

Dinny describes her sculptures as being made with wool and a touch of humour, paired with vintage objects that help provide each piece with a narrative. She gained a degree in ceramics at Camberwell School of Art and Craft, exhibiting her ceramics and paintings throughout London and the South West. In recent years she has focused on wool as her medium for sculpture, exhibiting in UK galleries and collaborating in a design for Anthropologie.

All materials and equipment provided. Lunch and refreshments included.

Tutor: Dinny Pocock
