Take a unique opportunity to join the RHS Herbarium Team to learn the scientific process of making herbarium samples. You will be taught to press specimens and use colour charts to record plants before pressing. You will also mount some already-pressed specimens in the old Berlin Layout that emulates botanical illustrations which make for beautiful pieces of art. After you have learned these techniques, some of which are over 500 years old, and made your pieces to take home, you will be taken on a tour of the RHS Herbarium at Wisley, which is regarded as the best in the world for cultivated ornamental plants.
