A bushy evergreen shrub to 1m high, with ovate, dark green leaves with wavy, creamy yellow margins. Produces red buds that open to white flowers with yellow centres, held singly or in clusters of two or three from late spring to early summer. Leaves are often tinted pink in winter

How to grow
Cultivation
Grow in poor to moderately fertile, well drained soil, in a sheltered position in full sun. Plant out when danger of frosts has passed. Generally lime-tolerant, but may become chlorotic on very chalky soils
Propagation
Propagate by seed sown as soon as ripe, or by softwood cuttings in summer. As this plant is protected by Plant Breeders' Rights, any propagation should be for personal rather than commercial use
