'Ballerina' is a vigorous hybrid French lavender introduction from New Zealand. An evergreen shrub of upright habit, with aromatic silvery grey-green foliage. Purple flowers in dense aromatic spikes borne on stems 30cm high are topped by conspicuous white bracts which flush pink-purple with age. Flowers over a long period from late spring and through summer
'Kew Red' is a compact, bushy shrub to 50cm, with striking colouring. Flowers are very deep pink to red, calyces dark purple, while the sterile bracts are pale pink. Needs a sheltered position and protection from cold winds
'Hidcote Giant' is a bushy evergreen shrub to 1m tall, with narrow, grey-green leaves and long-stalked spikes of violet-blue flowers in summer
'Loddon Pink' is a compact bushy shrub with narrow greyish leaves and short, fragrant, dusky pink flower spikes in summer
'Imperial Gem' is a compact evergreen shrub with narrow grey-green leaves and fragrant spikes of deep purple flowers in summer
'Richard Gray' is a compact evergreen shrub to 50cm, with relatively broad, silvery-grey foliage and spikes of deep purple flowers
L. pedunculata subsp. pedunculata is a bushy evergreen shrub with narrow, grey-green leaves, and small violet flowers in long-stalked, dense ovoid heads tipped with large purple bracts
'Sawyers' is a bushy evergreen shrub to 60cm, with linear, silvery-grey-green leaves and spikes of light purple flowers in mid summer
Melissa Lilac is a hardy shrub, that reaches around 60cm in height, with grey-green foliage and scented flower spikes from mid summer until autumn. Flowers are dark purple in bud, opening to a much lighter mauve, giving a two-tone effect
'Munstead' is a compact evergreen shrub, to 45cm tall, with narrow, grey-green foliage and spikes of small, highly-fragrant, blue-purple flowers in mid to late summer
