It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Zampa' is a perennial bulb with greyish-green foliage striped with purple. The early-spring flowers only reach 15-20cm high. They are cream and yellow with red streaking
'Artist' is a bulbous perennial to 45cm in height, with broad grey-green leaves and salmon-pink flowers, striped with purple outside and with green within
'New Design' is a Triumph cultivar with cream-edged green foliage and pale pink flowers, edged darker pink and with a central pale yellow stripe. Flowers in late spring to a height around 40cm
'Mrs John T. Scheepers' is an erect bulbous perennial to 60cm in height, with lance-shaped greyish-green leaves and solitary, clear yellow flowers 6cm in length
T. orthopoda is a dwarf perennial bulb, up to10cm tall, with broad grey-green leaves. Flowers are white with a yellow blotch and pale purple-grey markings on the outside of petals and appear in late spring
'Alaska Star' is an upright tulip to 50cm with white flowers
'Gavota' grows to 50cm tall, and has striking colouration. The outer tepals are ochre yellow, almost covered by a broad maroon-purple triangle running from the base up to the pointed tip. Inside the flower is yellow with just a purple flush towards the base
'Flava' is a dwarf bulbous perennial, to 30cm tall, with lance-shaped grey-green leaves. Flowers are multi-flowering, bronze-yellow with orange flares, and appear in mid spring
'Timeless' is bulbous perennial, with strap-like green leaves and classic, tulip-shaped, single flowers held on sturdy stems 40-45cm tall. Flowers are bright-red with defined white margins. Inside, the flower has a white base
'White Triumphator' grows to 60cm in height, with broad leaves and pure white flowers with pointed, recurved petals
