It is included in an evolving list of plants carefully researched and chosen by RHS experts. Divided into 3 groups these lists, linked below, are maintained by a team of RHS staff and are reviewed annually.
'Grefsheim' is a compact deciduous shrub with arching branches carrying small, lanceolate, greyish leaves and abundant white flowers 8mm in width, in small clusters along the branches
'Candlelight' is a bushy deciduous shrub to 60cm tall, with soft yellow, ovate leaves from spring to late summer, turning to red in the autumn, and deep rosy-pink flowers in compact clusters in summer
'Nana' is a dense, spreading dwarf deciduous shrub with small, ovate, dark green leaves, and small but abundant heads of rose-pink flowers in mid summer
Golden Princess is a bushy deciduous shrub with ovate leaves opening reddish-bronze, becoming rich gold in summer, reddish in autumn; bright rosy-pink flowers in flattened heads in late summer
Magic Carpet is a low-growing deciduous shrub with ovate leaves opening red, and changing to yellow, always with some red young growth; flat clusters of deep pink flowers in summer
'Dart's Red' is a bushy deciduous shrub to 75cm tall, with lance-shaped leaves, red-tinged when young, and showy clusters of carmine-red flowers in mid summer
'Snowmound' is a spreading medium-sized deciduous shrub with arching branches bearing small obovate leaves and short lateral shoots ending in rounded clusters, to 4cm in width, of small white flowers
'Firelight' is a bushy deciduous shrub to 1.2m tall, with ovate leaves that open dull red to bronze, changing to green in summer and reddish-purple in autumn; small rosy-pink flowers open in clusters in summer
'Triumphans' is a vigorous suckering deciduous shrub forming a thicket of slender stems bearing dark-green, oblong leaves and tiny purplish-pink flowers in conical panicles in mid or late summer
'Anthony Waterer' is an upright deciduous shrub with narrowly lanceolate leaves, often irregularly variegated with cream and pink, and domed clusters of deep rosy-pink flowers in late summer
